Abstract

Scrapbook album containing 29 partially hand-colored manuscript designs for illuminated leaves in various styles (e.g., Anglo-Saxon, Assyrian, Celtic, Egyptian, Watteau 18th century) reminiscent of Owen Jone's Grammar of ornament. Each style represented comprises a partially colored traced design, a full-page color index, and an uncolored traced design.
